Simple Stroganoff

Brown the meat

1 tbsp Olive oil

700 g Chuck Steak, cut into chip size pieces

Fry over a high heat to brown the meat
Cook in a large saucepan

75 g Butter

2 Onions, sliced into half-moons

Fry the onions gently until pale gold 5 or 10 minutes

Above browned meat

Salt and Black pepper

Stir and season

275 ml Dry White wine or Dry Cider

Bring to the boil then simmer for 90 mins

450 g Mushrooms, sliced

Simmer for a further 30 mins

275 ml Soured Cream

Pinch Nutmeg

Check seasoning, heat without boiling and serve.
